Add Accounts to a Match List

With the new account target list type, you can create match lists containing only accounts. Initiate actions directly using the match list step settings. MSR-1079 | Feb 2025

Who is this feature for?

Executive search clients who want to maintain a specific account target list per job opening. And
Account managers who need an action list for client management.

Benefits

  • Not only persons but also accounts without a contact person can now be added to a match list.
  • Create targeted flow actions for this type in the match list step settings.
  • Choose which account fields you want to display as visible columns.
  • Available column fields can be configured using a field set.

How it works

From the new account search screen, you can select accounts or contacts. Choose the desired records and add them to a new match list. If you want to create a new match list, select the account target list type. Only unique accounts from your selection will be added as matches.

If you do this from the person search screen with a selection of contacts, you can also create an account target list for the linked persons. However, any persons without a linked account will be ignored. The same applies in reverse: if you select accounts from the account search screen to add to a candidate introduction or job introduction list, any records without a contact person will be ignored.

The notification users receive when data is skipped is standardized.

In the match list of the account target list type, only a list view is available. In the match list action settings, you can configure specific actions (screen flows) for this type of match list.

Feature Implementation Time (FIT)

  • Quick implementation (1-3 hours)

Set-up
To use this feature, follow these configuration steps:

Permissions

Ensure that users can create the new record type account target list within the match list object.

Object management

Match list step settings

  • Add the picklist value accountId to the picklist field input variable.
  • Add the picklist value account target list (API value account_target_list) to the picklist field match list record type.

Match (talentpool_member)

  • Add the account field to the page layout.
  • Ensure that the contact field is not required by adjusting its field properties.

Match list (talentpool)

  • Optionally, add fields such as label, team, and candidate to the accountTargetList_layout page layout and assign them to the account target list record type.

Custom settings

In the custom settings columns, filters, and custom label settings, define a field set in match list members - account (columns/filters). This limits the fields that users can add as visible columns.
