You can now create jobs on the customer portal and view the corresponding job application details with associated appointments and status history MSR-957 | Nov 2024
Who is this for?
This feature lets your customers create and submit their own steps.
The benefits of the new features at a glance:
- Create, modify and delete your own jobs
- You can also copy an existing job to a new one
- Add and remove documents to and from jobs
- Submit jobs for the front office
- View applications to jobs
- View application details including: Resume, appointments and status log
How it works in a nutshell
We have created a new controller called Jobs Overview.
It can be configured into a tile (left):
You will now see several elements appear:
- A button to create jobs
- A list of existing jobs with predefined fields
- A search bar to search for jobs
- Documents linked to the job
- A delete button to delete the job
- A click option to go to the job detail screen
Clicking on the Add Job button opens a new screen that lets you fill in several preconfigured fields.
You use the portal controller to configure which fields are shown here.
After saving, the jobs will appear in the list. Each new job is given a status as defined in the controller.
You can then view job details by clicking on a job in the list.
This is where you can submit jobs. It will be given a controller-defined status, after which it can no longer be edited. The next step is for the front office to process the job in MSR.
Clicking on the Copy button copies the job and opens an input screen populated with the copied job details. You can edit these details at your discretion, before creating the job by clicking on the Save button. This will only copy the completed fields of a job.
The Edit button takes you to a screen where you can edit the fields of the current job.
By scrolling down, you can also add documents to a job, such as a job posting or job description. Based on the portal settings on the linked Document Type, you can define the behavior on the portal. This also allows you to delete a document:
You will also see an overview of all job applications. This overview is usually filled once a job is processed and published, after which candidates can apply.
For a detailed explanation of the above application list and details, see the feature Show application overview on the customer and candidate portal.
