Emails sent via Flow can now be linked to Application, Vacancy or Match List

An email sent via a flow can now be linked not only to the recipient and sender but also to the relevant object, making it visible in the activity timeline. MSR-809 | Sep 2024

Who is this feature for?

This functionality is of interest if you use our flow components to send emails.

Benefits for you as a user

  • Emails sent via Flows are also visible in the application or other relevant objects.

Explanation of this new feature

In a Flow, you can send emails using our custom components. Previously, the sent message was linked to the recipient(s) and sender but was not visible in the related object. This is now possible in the email components 'Generic Mail' and the Apex tasks 'SendAdvancedEmailThroughFlow' and 'SendAdvancedEmailsThroughFlow'.

For example, if the email concerns an application, you can now ensure that the sent email is visible in the activity timeline of that application.

The object to which the email should be linked is specified in the 'TargetId' parameter.

Feature Implementation Time

  • Very simple implementation: Implementation time < 30 minutes

Setup
No additional setup is needed apart from configuring the flow.
