Make application step only accessible for applications for the same vacancy

A new field in the 'Application Step Settings' now ensures that an action in the Application Process screen can only be performed if all selected applications are linked to the same vacancy. MSR-852 | Sep 2024

Who is this feature for?

Recruiters working with the Application Process screen.

Benefits for you as a user

  • Prevent conflicting situations with different business labels and senders when performing actions in the Application Process screen.

 Explanation of this new feature

In the Application Process screen, as with a vacancy, you can perform an action for multiple applications simultaneously. A complicating factor in the Application Process is that you can select applications from different vacancies. This can lead to conflicts in certain actions, such as sending an email, where the correct Business Label or sender might not be used because they cannot be determined for multiple vacancies at once.

To prevent this issue, users can be trained not to choose such actions when selecting applications from different vacancies. However, this is not always clear to every user. From now on, you can assist users by automatically hiding such actions when a mix of different vacancies is selected.

In the Application Step Settings object, you will find a new field called 'Show with single vacancy selection'. Once enabled, an application step in the Application Process is automatically hidden when a selection of applications from different vacancies is made.
