      New Nixz plug-in enables Contact and Account creation

      A new Nixz plug-in version allows you to create contacts and accounts. To facilitate this, a number of fields have been added in Person and Account. MSR-1004-B | September 2024

      Who is this feature for?

      All users will benefit from this enhancement. 

      Benefits for you as a user

      • With the new Nixz plug-in, you can now create contacts and accounts. 
      • Also, you no longer need to log in with a Nixz account, this will now be done automatically based on the logged-in user in the Salesforce environment.
      • Prepare for the future application of the new plug-in related fields on person and account. 



      Explanation of this new feature

      As of release 3.6.0 of the Nixz plugin, it is possible to create contacts in addition to candidates. And because you need to link a contact to an account, the plugin also allows you to create an account in MSR directly from the LinkedIn company profile page:

      To distinguish between contacts and candidates, you need to set the relevant record types. In the plug-in, click on the menu icon at the top right and choose ‘Settings’:

      Select the corresponding record types for Candidate, Contact and (if any) that of Account. 
       
      If you do not set anything, the current working method is applied and Candidates and Contacts are created with the same record type. In doing so, a default record type is used that is set for the logged-in user based on the profile. This will be Candidate in most cases.
       
      To add an account, go to the company's profile page in LinkedIn. You get the best result by selecting the ‘Info/About’ tab on the LinkedIn profile:

      Existing matches are recognised on the basis of the website URL. This is only visible in the Info/About tab.
      Version 3.6.0 of the Nixz plug-in will be available in the Chrome App store around 19 August and is usually installed automatically on users. Only after the 2024-03 release is rolled out to all customers will you actually be able to use this extension. This is because 2024-03 has made some changes to write away the correct URL to the person and account record. The following fields have been added for this purpose:

      • Object: Contact person
        • LinkedIn Recruiter URL
        • LinkedIn Sales Navigator URL
      • Account
        • LinkedIn company-URL
        • Xing company URL


      Set-up
      To enable this extension, you need to assign the appropriate field permissions for all fields. Should you not have permissions on these fields when the new plug-in functionality is available from October, you will get an error message when creating new candidates or contacts with the plug-in.
