Sending questionnaires via WhatsApp

You can now send a questionnaire to the candidate via WhatsApp, with the responses processed as WhatsApp messages. MSR-937 | Sep 2024

Who is this feature for?

This is relevant for customers who use WhatsApp (via CM.com) and wish to gather specific information from candidates (and contact persons), for example for an intake interview. This allows the candidate to provide availability, job preferences or other details ahead of the interview.

 

Benefits at a glance:

  • You can create questionnaires within MSR to present questions to candidates and contact persons.
  • The questionnaire could already be answered via an Experience Cloud portal, and now also via WhatsApp.
  • To use this addition, a WhatsApp subscription from CM.com is required.
  • Candidates receive a predefined (interactive) template asking if they want to receive the questionnaire.
  • Responses are recorded in the questionnaire invitation for that candidate and as separate WhatsApp messages.
  • Using a flow, the responses are processed in the person's card or the application. 

How it works

Only Choice (single or multiple), Text and Yes/No questions can be asked via WhatsApp. In the questionnaire, you set whether it is sent via WhatsApp. When activating the questionnaire, it checks if it can be processed via WhatsApp. Of course, you can still create questionnaires that are sent to the candidate via email or SMS. The responses are then provided on an Experience Cloud portal set up for this purpose.

To present a questionnaire to candidates, an interactive templated message must be set up at CM. This template is approved by Meta and can then be set up in MSR. Interactive means that the candidate is asked if they want to answer a number of questions. If they respond with ‘Yes’, they are asked the first question from the questionnaire. After each answer, the next question is posed until the questionnaire is completed. 

The communication is visible via the message centre and after each response it is updated in the questionnaire invitation.

Unlike questionnaire invitations sent by email, no reminders are sent if the candidate does not respond within the set time.
