Benefits for you as a user

  • You can now manage Skills for accounts and/or candidates on your own Experience Cloud Portal. 

 Explanation of this new feature

The Skill Board Matrix component has been adapted for inclusion on the account or person page layout in the Experience Cloud portal. This component allows you to manage skills for an account or candidate. 

Feature Implementation Time

  • Medium complexity: Implementation time 1-3 hours

Setup

The following setup is required:

  1. Add the following APEX classes to the profile used for the relevant Experience Cloud. If you do not know which profile that is, you can open this portal via Digital Environments, All Sites. In the Workspaces, choose Manage from the left menu. On the Members tab, you will see which profiles have access to the site. Add the following Apex classes to those profiles via Setup, Profiles: msf.ObjectSkillController, msf.SkillController, msf.SkillDefinitionController.
  2. Users must also have permissions on the following objects: Skills, Skill Definitions, Account Skills and Contact Skills.
  3. In the Experience Cloud builder, you can then place the APEX component Portal Skill Board Matrix on the page. The parameter {!recordId} is automatically added. Ensure that you configure specific page layouts for Account and Contact in your portal.
